ECCAI today was at the Mbavaa Forest Reserve, Konshisha LGA of Benue state, Nigeria to plant 1500 (one thousand, five hundred) indigenous economic trees (Khaya Senegalesis (Mahogany), Irvingia gabonensis (Ogbono) and Butrospermum paradoxum(Shea butter).
This activity was funded by ATC Nigeria through the Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF) and implemented by the Environment and Climate Change Amelioration Initiative ECCAI.
This gesture is to assist the Benue state government in the conservation and restoration of biodiversity and also reforestation/afforestation of the highly degraded forest reserves.
